Wright takes hat trick as Jamaica wins:

Conroy Wright Captain of the Jamaica team took a hat trick (3 wickets in 3 consecutive balls) as Jamaica won its second match in a row to head the standings in the 2014 Challenge Trophy. Coming back for his second spell Wright dismissed Nigel Strough, Nkrumah Morgan and Anil Jugbir to close off World Stars innings at 85 runs in 15 overs. Bazil Legore 21 and Al Shields 19 were the main run getters for World Stars. Deno McInnis continues his fine runs scoring 22n.o and Adrian Wright 19 as Jamaica won by 5 wickets.

Cayman Islands produced an improved performance entering winner’s row in defeating the Commonwealth team by 5 wickets. Marlon Bryan bowled with pace and hostility picking up 2 wickets. Omar Willis 44n.o and Omar Bryan 23 took Cayman home.

In a rain affected match Barbados defeated India by 16 runs and joins Jamaica at the head of the table.
