Cayman Islands Cricket Association is pleased to announce the selection of the senior to participate in the ICC Americas Championship. The tournament is scheduled for May 26th to June 9th in Hamilton, Bermuda.

With four rounds of matches remaining, victories by Prison and By Rite on Sunday have made for great excitement to the Division 1. Prison easily defeated LIME Schools. The Bazil twins starred with the bat and ball as Kevin scored 48 and Kevon took 4 wickets.

Stingrays Women team sponsored by Island Heritage had an easy Sunday defeating Panthers by 10 wickets. Winning the toss Stingrays gave Panthers first strike and Panthers were in trouble losing their first wicket in the first over.

Carmel Harms create history by scoring the first century in the Women’s League against Motown yesterday at the John A Cumber Primary School ground. Carmel’s hundred was filled with 16 boundaries gracefully played all around the ground.

Prison C.C. captain Saheed Mohamed was in an extremely aggressive mood against Police in their league fixture on Sunday at the Smith Road Oval on the resumption of cricket following the weekend off in support of the Athletic Association hosting of the Carifta games.

Stingrays sponsored by Island Heritage and sporting new uniforms lit up the John A Cumber Primary school ground with an outstanding display. Stingrays’ bowlers held their line and limited Greenies to 123 runs for 7 wickets.

Prison C.C. began round of Division 1 matches with a convincing win against Greenies 1 at the Smith Road Oval. Batting first Greenies 1 was limited to 183 runs with Craig Scott 38, Ian Rotsey 31 and the consistent Michael Reid 31.

Ryan Bovell produced an excellent all round display in the Cayman Islands Cricket Association ALL STARS Match held on Sunday at the Jimmy Powell Oval. This was the first match of its kind and players who performed creditably in five rounds of Division 1 action this year were on display. A full house of spectators including Acting Director of Sports Colin Anglin, Jimmy Powell and CICA President Courtney Myles enjoyed the day’s action.
