Greenies 1 had an exciting 3 runs victory over LIME Schools in the CLICO Cayman Division 1 League match at Jimmy Powell Oval. Requiring 14 runs from 12 balls LIME Schools could only muster 11 runs in a nail biting finish to an absorbing day’s play.

LIME schools captain Ricardo Roach won the toss an asked Greenies 1 to take first strike. It was a good move as some moisture from the pitch’s preparation ensured that a number of balls had unpredictable movement. After 10 overs, Greenies had 8 runs on the board. Excellent batting from Craig Scott 53 and Ian Rotsey 29 led the recovery and some gutsy running from the lower order produced 81 runs from 13 overs. Greenies final score was 191 for 8 wickets. At the Smith Road Oval Paramount pull off a major upset when they defeated By Rite by 6 wickets. Batting first By Rite made 156 with Ainsley Hall and Conroy Wright getting 42 runs each. Sean Banton took 4 wickets for Paramount. Michael Reid 30, Leon Watson 22 and Deno McInnis 22 were the main scorers as Paramount romped home victors.

On Saturday ESSO Cubs defeated JJ’s by 8 wickets and Paramount DTA defeated Cayman Brac by 4 wickets and on Sunday Cayman Brac defeated UCCI/West Bay by 60 runs
